WCWF Rules and FAQ
You can find answers to a lot of questions and some "rules" here. Doesn't mean you're not allowed to ask me or your fellow members about the game or WCWF though ...
This will be most likely a constantly changing page, so once in a while you might wanna check it again. One other reason to revisit it is that you don't want to read all of this at once (... pretty boring...).
If you have any additions or you see things and you think it could be done better, never hesitate to let me know.

Annual Events
Q: WCWF has a few Annual Events events this year. When or what?
WCWF will not only do regular tournaments and/or matches. Also during the year some Mega shows will take place. This year (summer 2012) we've just had WCWF Slam Jam Awards (which was an action-packed show). You can read the results when you follow the links on the main page related to WCWF Slam Jam Awards. You can also find our wrestlers historical debates (... sort of...) in the Old Facts & Issues page.
There will be a second Annual Event, which is called WINTER BASH, 22 of December 2012.
You might expect a lot of action again.
Most likely WCWF will have two Mega Events each year, but I wouldn't be surprised if the fans and sponsors of WCWF would raise so much funds that a third of maybe a fourth event will be possible in 2013.
Brands
Q: What are the WCWF Brands?
WCWF has two 'brands': WCWF Thunder and WCWF Wednesday Wars. (You need to think about Raw, Nytro or Smackdown).
New competitors will be 'drafted' to one of the two. Ladies will for the moment be in both brands, and thus competing for (most of) the available titles in both brands. (Maybe the ladies will have their own 'brand' in the future).
At this moments the ladies do have their own TV show, called Dangerous Divas of Wrestling.

Bugs
Q: What do you guys do about bugs?
NOTE: some of the bugs might have already been fixed, but since it's not clear or transparant I'll stil have them here.
There are a lot of bugs in this game. The makers of the game, The Rocket Ninjas, aren't supporting this game anymore and won't likely do anything to fix the bugs. Remember that when you think you should for some reason want to buy Wrestler Bucks.
We can't fix bugs ourselves. Sometimes there are some workarounds, which you or someone you talked to in the game might find useful. Here are some of the bugs, and what we did to deal with them.
Bug with the random titles (non-champion title defense)Bug most likely not fixed yet
August 2014 |
A: We have now had that issue more than once, so we stop using the random title defenses.
|
Bug when you win a titlematch (hold/win)
|
Happened with us and in other companies. Sometimes when you win a titlematch, the program doesn't give you the title, but says "[player] defeated [champion] to hold the [title]", where it should be "[player] defeated [champion] to win the [title]". As a result the winner of the match won't be displayed as the champion, and the title doesn't change hands, because the program sees this as a defense. There is a chance that this will also end up in both a champion and a former champion defending titles. No proof here yet.
|
Bugs with public companies. |
There can't be done much to those unfortunately, only a warning here and there maybe. Also a warning on possible causes, but they aren't verified.

Bug viewing/updating the character
|
This bug prevents the player from viewing the character in the dynamic mode (the moving flash character on your main page).
|
Bug with new clothes
Bug most likely fixed end 2014
|
Bug prevents the player from changing a character's appearance. Happened after the 3D to 2D conversion (2014). Some players are not able to change clothes anymore. It looks that it might be fixed on request to the current developer / owner of the game, if you can find him.

Bug with the round robins (after the 'fix') |
Issue 1:
|
Bug that exludes you from a created scene |
Happened twice with the Lockerroom and the Facts & Issues scenes. Not much of a workaround, so I had to make a second scene.
|
Bug with Multiple Triggering (text or tournaments)
|
There are many multiple triggering issues in WU.

Championships
Q: How do I become a WCWF world Champion?
WCWF has a lot of championships. What is the difference and how and when can somebody compete for the World Heavyweight title?
First some basic idea about the titles in general:
WCWF does have a little variation in their titles you can win.
- Legends Championship:
Can only be won if your are a (former) World Heavyweight champion or a World Women's Champion. Then you will be in the Legends Divison.
- World Heavyweight Championship:
You can only compete for this title when you have won either a United States Title or a European Title (Wednesday Wars), or a National Heavyweight Title or a Southern Heavyweight Title (Thunder)
The championship will be defended bi-weekly.
- Women's World Championship:
At this moment there are not many restrictions and it's ranking based. In the future the same construction as the one for the World Heavyweight Championship might be applied.
- Florida ladies and North American Ladies Championship:
Can be won by ladies only. Open to all lady competitors, either used for new competitors or rank based.
- European, Southern Heavyweight, United States, National Heavyweight Championship:
Those are the primairy and secundary titles of WCWF, and you have to rise in the ranking to compete for them. On occassion there will be tournaments to be a number one contender.
- International Television or Australian Middleweight Championship:
Primairily a ranking based title, which can also be used for new competitors when many people enter WCWF at the same time, to speed up things.
- Junior Heavyweight or Light Heavyweight Championship:
Entry title for those under level 51. Also used for regular defenses.
- Western States Heritage or Mid-Atlantic Championship:
Entry title for those lvl 51 and up. Also used for regular defenses.
- Canadian, All-Asian, Latin American, Internet Championship:
Basically lottery titles, so random competitors will have an opportunity to compete for them.
- English Heavyweight, Pacific Islands, Diamond Challenge, south African Cruiserweight Championship:
Special titles that require special rules, like the 'Iron Man Rule' for the English Heavyweight Title.
- Texas State or State of Oregon Championship:
Special titles who will be either Next Contender Championships or have a different rule, including Champion's Choice.
- Extreme or Hardcore Championship:
The hardcore rules imply that you may *NOT* use defense moves in a challenge match or you will be DQéd.
- World Tag Team Championship:
Can only be won by a fixed Tag Team. At this moment all male, all female, and mixed tag teams can win it.
- Ladies Tag Team Championship:
Can only be won by an all-female fixed team.
- World Six Men Tag Team Championship:
Can be won by either a fixed or an occasional team.
- King of the Mountain
Special Title. Cross-brand. Can be won by a single wrestler who has to face six challengers.
Does all of this imply that some titles are 'better' or 'of less value' than others?
Definitely YES .... and definitely NO.
YES:
Of course the most prestigious title to win in WCWF is of course the World Heavyweight Championship or for the ladies the Women's World Championship, because it will tell you're the best in the WCWF Universe.
Being f.e. the United States Champion also is not something to be taken lightly, because many in WU can only wish to wear any of these belts one day, and you do.
NO:
But, what if you always would have wanted to be f.e. a TV champion, Canada's best, or the champion of Texas?
Then you will value that belt so much it will be even more prestigious to you than the World Legends Title. And nothing is wrong with that. Also you are the one who can bring that much prestige to the title by your defenses that respect will be gained by all in WU or WCWF.
I can only hope the glory and maybe the design of a certain belt can add that feeling.

Contracts & Titleshots
Q: What are these WCWF-Contracts and Titleshots about?
A: The contracts you can win in WCWF are *NOT* the same as the Wrestler Unstoppable contracts other federations use to bind people to the company for an amount of weeks/months. WCWF doesn't do those contracts, because we want you people to be free to stay in our company while you like us and not bind you here by a contract against your will for a few coins. We can only hope you'll have enough fun with what we offer, so you choose to stay with us, because you want to be part of WCWF.
So what are they then? Contracts here are used to trigger special matches (please check the Match types page).
There are two types, singles contracts and tag team contracts.
The contracts can be won by winning tournaments.
There is a special page (link on the main page or below) which shows who has a contract (or titleshot). In the near future you will be able to trade (tag team) contracts for (tag team) titleshots or maybe even other features. (not implemented yet).
Titleshots are basically the same (you can win them, cash them to get a match etc.). Also here there's one for singles and one for tag teams. Difference is (obviously) that it is a 'forced' titleshot. Of course there are also normal titleshots, based on rankings etc. Titleshots should *NOT* be used to get a shot at the All-Asian or Canadian Title.
Mostly because it's a waste of your titleshot, as you might get probably a shot at these titles anyway, because they are set at random. So you might be asked if you would REALLY want this when you do.
What to do if you want to use a contract or titleshot |
1) Please contact Sandra first, so she can set up the match.

Fanning
Q: Why should I fan somebody?
A: We're doing pretty good, but one of the goals of WCWF is get the maximum out of this game for all of the members, which is including high(er) payments for (title)matches. Since we're not a company with 200 members, we rely on the income we generate. We get that income for the company by the amount of fans each member brings in. That's why it is very important that you guys all fan me (back) and the other members too.
Fanning other members will at first cost you coins, but you'll benefit because when I can put high prizes on tournaments and matches (you've probably noticed that singles match pay already more than a short time ago, and that will only go up when you guys help a bit)
Giving notice when you win or when you reach lvl 51
Q: Why and when should I do that?
A: When WCWF gets bigger and bigger we are all happy, because it means people want to be part of it. Hats off to all of you who made and make it happen.
But ... there's a downside on becoming a large company... it means that the news tab on the main page will change rapidly. Many outcomes of matches, people making scenes, joining or leaving, tournament winners etc. That's a great thing, because it means WCWF is very active, just as we want it to be.
It means also that occasionally a result of a tournament (especially when the tournament has been started a little while ago already and the matches take long) or even more likely a tag team match might slip through unnoticed by your loving, but sometimes failing GM. That would be even more likely when we will have more members (and we certainly will ... ;) ... ).
So I need to ask you guys a little favor. What I would like to ask is: when you win a tag match or a tournament (which is already going on for a while), please make sure I've seen it by sending me a PM. This would be great, so I can adjust the tag team rankings in time, and give out the awards or prizes you've earned.
A second thing is when your character reaches level 51. As you have seen we do have two divisions for male wrestlers: The Junior Heavyweight Championship (levels 10-50) and The Western States Heritage Championship (levels 51 and above). That way we keep things a little bit fair for newer players, so they have a chance to win a title, fighting people of their own level.
Now I cannot keep track of who is going to level up to level 51 all the time and I would check occasionally if someone can still be in the Junior Heavyweight Division, but that would certainly go wrong. So also here I ask you to be so nice to give me notice when you reach level 51.
Goal of WCWF
Q: What is the goal of WCWF?
A: A simple answer and a broad one.
The simple one is just to have fun.
The broad one is to be the very, very best (bleep) company in the whole game. We should be so amazing that even your great-grand-children will remember that you have been a superstar in WCWF once. And that the great-grand-children of other people would still regret their ancestor's highly unwise decision not to join us. ... (...hmm .. let's stick to the simple answer next time...)
How many titles
Q: How many titles can you hold in WCWF at the SAME time?
- Here the 'Max Two Titles' rule will be applied. Click to read more.
A: You can hold TWO singles titles and ONE tag team title at the same time.
If the competitor already holds two singles titles, the shot for the third
title will go to the next contender in line.
- If the title shot is for the World Heavyweight Championship or the
Women's World Championship the title shot will be granted. When
the competitor wins the title, he/she MUST give up one of the two other
singles titles. The choice is for the competitor which one that will be.
(Don't worry: you'll have a pic with all three titles together first...)
- He/she will be stripped of the title and the title will be put up in a
(round robin) tournament.
- If the competitpr doesn't choose between the titles within 5 days
after being asked by the GM, the GM will make a choice which title
he/she will be stripped off.
- When you are already holding two singles titles you will be temporarily
excluded from competing for the titles that are set to random
challenges (where the program picks the challenger). When you lose a
title you will be admitted to that division again. For the moment this will
be applicable to both the All-Asian Championship and the Canadian Championship.
The exclusion for the title will be put on the main page.
- It is however possible to be(come) one half of the Tag Team
Champions when you are also holding two singles titles.
- It is possible for a #1/#2/#3 contender to give notice to Sandra that he/she does not want to compete for a specific title.
- It is also possible for a champion to give up a specific title.
- He/she will forfeit the title match, and the next contender will get the title shot.
- The original title contender will, however, stay at the same position (as long as others don't rise to that position) in the ranking list and will again have an opportunity for a match, when the title is on the line again.
- Once the titleshot has been given to the next contender, the decision cannot be reversed.
- If anyone would want to stop being a contender permanently for a specific title, he/she also needs to inform Sandra to be taken off the list for that specific title.
How to grab a picture?
Q: I'd like to save my avatar picture with the belt. How do I do that?
A: Not that hard to do. What you need to do is put your mouse on the picture and click right. You'll see a little menu pop up, where you need to select 'save as...'
Select the picture, keep the name or change it to your liking. Most of the time your operating system will suggest a map to save it in, but you can also make one yourself, like 'WU Pics' or something.
Inactivity
Q: What if I'm inactive for a while?
A: You've most likely seen we've also fired people from WCWF.
These were people that were inactive for a long time, some even for three to four months (yes, we're a bit too lenient). Nowadays, about 60 days of inactivity will give a kick, unless you've given the GM a good reason.
Inactive people are okay (don't worry, everyone has a real life and sometimes it takes one or two weeks before you have done your duties), but it would be very nice if, when you are really gone for a long period, you would tell us. BTW, most people already do this..
Otherwise our tournaments will be filled with people that don't act and that would be boring and unfair to active members.
Again here... those who don't participate in matches, never try to participate on scenes or anything, don't fan (back), in other words inactive on all areas (from the day they entered the company), are likely to be candidates for a kick.
Leaving WCWF
Q: What if I want to leave WCWF?
A:
- Leaving WCWF is easy, but many times also final. WCWF does not want to hold people against their will in the company, hence we do not do contracts. Simply go to the bottom of the main page, and click on 'leave this company'.
- If you are really serious about leaving our company, we are never happy, because then WCWF didn't do a good enough job, and didn't give you as much enjoyment of the game, we think you deserve. So we're open to suggestions how we can do a better job.
- If someone still doesn't like to stay, no hard feelings, and we can only hope you maybe liked a little bit we did.
- But ... WCWF is not a join and leave company, so as a general rule we do not have people running back and forth between ours and other companies, because we do not want chaos for the other members. Which means you will get one invite only, most of the times.
- There are a few exceptions and they have mostly to do with personal situations. Which means that you will not be kicked out of the company (see: inactivity), and even that you can re-enter the company, too. But you have to let the GM Sandra know before you are inactive or leaving.
- Getting kicked out for being inactive might be a good reason not to get a welcome back, but here it depends if you are a WCWF veteran (and have a good reason).
- We made exceptions for people who did leave the company to come back, but leaving the company again, (without notice), is definitely final.
The reason is that people who did that before, and were allowed to re-enter, did it again.
- Brings us to the two major reasons to not be allowed getting back into WCWF, even after the first run:
1) leaving the company without a notice
2) worse: leaving the company without notice when you're a titleholder (vacating the title)
- I understand that this sounds a bit harsh, but then again: many people (like me) try to do their best to have a fun game (for others), and invest a lot of time over the years to keep companies running. Companies will many times have a certain way of doing things. Of course people like what a company like WCWF does or not (or not anymore), and are free to stay or go. To avoid confusion and a lot of needless effort, I chose to heavily limit the times people can join and leave this company, if they do not seem to like the company and decide to go.

Lockerroom vs Facts & Issues vs Press Rooms
Q: What is the difference between the Lockerroom scene, a Press Room scene or the Facts & Issues scene?
A:
- The Lockerroom is for members who want to do flashes, like challenging other players or trash talk.
- Facts and Issues is mostly used for messages to the members on new features or coming tournaments or events. Flashes will be removed. Sometimes you are also asked by WCWF to give your opinion about issues, like what you guys would like to see in WCWF etc.
- The Press Rooms, like WCWF Thunder, and WCWF Wednesday Wars or Dangerous Divas of Wrestling, are solely for posting your (title) matches. To keep some clarity, messages who do not deal with this, like flashes, will be removed.
Member link
Q: Can I have a link to my character homepage / facebook page on the WCWF main page?
A: Yes, you can. All you need to do is ask. What you might want is a banner (same size of a nameplate), which will link to your page.
Next condender rule
Q: Some titles have a next contender rule. What does that mean?
A : Normally at WCWF (and other companies) being a contender for a title works like this: you need to be at a certain position (mostly one of the high positions) to make sure you get a titleshot.
That system has some pro's and con's.
Pro - Of course people should make sure they do as much matches as possible, and beat higher ranked opponents to get to their positions themselves in order to qualify for a title. That's the way all rankings work and that's the way it should be.
Con - In Unstoppable you cannot adjust the rankings for the titles individually. Which means that if you are the #1/2/3 contender for one title you are the #1/2/3 contender for all titles.
It would mean that we should either accept it and do nothing or get people only in certain divisions (like the brands we made). For those who haven't reached those high levels and done many matches it wouldn't be very encouraging though, so we made a few changes back then to create more diversity.
1) WCWF has a division for 1-50 and 51+ with two separate titles (Junior Heavyweight/Light Heavyweight and WSH/Mid-Atlantic).
Means however that some people, who passed the 51 level, cannot compete for the Junior/Light title (anymore).
2) Two titles in each brand have been put to random (Asian and Canadian, Internet and Latin American).
Means however that there is no ranking to win it.
3) WCWF has implemented titleshot certificates ('forced' titleshots) and contracts to create more opportunities.
4) At this moment one title in each brand (Texas State/State of Oregon) has become mostly a next contender title. Some other singles titles will be sometimes defended as a next contender title, too.
So a titleshot does not go to the #1/2/3 of the ranking list but in stead to the next contender, meaning that if the champion has position #17 on the ranking list, the next contender is #18.
The champion needs to defend the title against this contender, but when he makes a succesful title defense (again to avoid rigidity) he may choose the next opponent himself (champion's choice) or accept a challenge. Normally this challenge to all other titles can only be done by putting up a titleshot, but here it's up to the champ to choose. You can still 'force' a shot with a regular WCWF Titleshot.
New Ideas
Q: I have a great idea which could work for WCWF ... What do I do?
A: Tell us! WCWF is your company, too! Which means you are highly encouraged to bring up anything that could be enhancing the gameplay of WCWF in Wrestler Unstoppable.
A lot is possible (within the limits of what the WU program can do, of course), so please come up with your ideas and we'll see if we can implement them. (... No... you can't make a rule to strip all the champs and take their belts ... ;) ...)
Never hesitate, just ask Sandra!
Other Companies and joint ventures
Q: Is WCWF allied with or does she work with other companies?
Note: (At this moment SPWA and UPW are inactive, but might be used in the future again.)
A: Yes. At this moment there's a new company, called SPWA, which is an allied company.
One idea is that both companies WCWF and SPWA in the near future will become linked with a company called Universal Pro Wrestling (UPW), which will share at least three titles (two singles and one tag team) between WCWF, SPWA and also other companies.
This means that the same championship(s) will be shared among more companies, and that wrestlers need to be in both their own company (let's say WCWF) and UPW. So it will be possible to have one company's champion pitted against one of the other company, and the UPW title will be recognized by all the companies involved.
So a company would still have his own championships and internal business, but it is also involved in a more "world-wide" structure. (not implemented yet)
Pay Out Matches
Q: What are these?
Well, a pay out match is not really a match, but you don't want to lose it anyway...
Because not all prizes that are set by me can be payed out directly by tournaments etc. I might put you in a pay out match. That's a match that I would always lose to you when you've won a special prize, just to get you the coins.
Please make sure you inform me that you've won a special match etc.
I'll set these to three days, so you will be able to make a move (so you cannot get counted out and lose it) or either defeat me (health will be set to 25%), or just do nothing and see me getting counted out, if it's my turn. So make sure you use no eye gouges ;)
Rising in the Rankings:
Q: How do I rise in the rankings?
A: Do a lot of matches. Challenge a lot of your fellow members. Win many of them and you will rise in the rankings. The advantage is that you will reach the top 10 or even top 5 positions in WCWF, so you will be eligible to compete for the major titles, like the (Women's) World Heavyweight Title, the United States Title and the European Title.
You will also gain more money. Make sure you fan a few opponents along the way, so we can keep you paid well, too.
Tag Team
Q: How about Tag Teams in WCWF?
All regular tag team matches except for the title match will be for 3 days. The special matches, which are planned in the near future, might have a different duration. Six-Men Tag Matches are set to 7-days.
There will be about two tag team matches each week, unless we get more teams and requests to expand, for the moment. Every Sunday I will try to refresh the tag team page so the matches that are finished will be replaced with new matches, but if all the matches are already finished before that time, all matches will be replaced with a new one.
To get the most out of the tag team option in Wrestler Unstoppable (which is not fully developed in the game) WCWF has created a kind of minor extension to the game focusing on the tag teams. A kind of look-a-like page with rankings.
People who want to be in a permanent team are able to register as a tag team, which is the only way to be in the rankings list. Your team can have a name, which will appear in the matches or not. It's up to you. You will find the tag teams and the rankings for the teams by clicking the pictures below or by the links on the main page
Registered teams are kindly requested to give notice on whether they won or lost a match, because sometimes the NEWS will be a bit crowdy (especially when we have more active people), so I might miss a match outcome.
When all of this goes well I'm thinking about applying our first special tag team matches, in which a team can ask for special rules. Please have a look at the Match Types page for this. Though it's also possible that a special tag team match will be GM-set, it is most of the times a match that will be requested by a tag team, invoked by a tag team contract or titleshot.
How do I know I'm in a match or who has one this week?
Please check the main page at the Tag Team Belts area and look for the announcement near the Tag Teams of WCWF picture. You will find which six teams are in tag team matches that week or check the champions picture below and on the main page..
Title Histories
Q: How can I find out who were the previous holders of a title?
You can find out who held the title by clicking on it's picture. You will be taken to a page which displays all previous champions of that title.
WCWF Extended
Q: What is WCWF Extended?
WCWF Extended is an attempt to extend your gameplay of WU, in an RPG-like way, within WCWF. The basic idea is to add to WU from outside and integrate it, so it blends with Wrestler Unstoppable. Of course it's not a 'real' part of the program, because there is no 'real' access to functions in WU, so it cannot influence matches or moves or anything like that.
WCWF's idea is to add some eyecandy, background and extensions. More functions, and ways to enhance WCWF, while still within the boundaries of the program will be added whenever possible. It might be that one day WCWF Extended will run alongside WU as a sort of second game, or maybe even on it's own (depending on how much I get it to work, since I'm a lousy HTML 5 programmer at this moment).
For the moment WCWF will have the function of an add-on, and it contains the (basic idea) of the brands (WCWF Thunder and Wednesday Wars), a page that will be concerned with Battle Royals, one that will deal with 'merchandise' (which will be combined with 'special items' later to make a kind of 'bonus' system), and a stables page.
(February 2015) WCWF Extended is all but finished, it's just setup and started, and almost all of it needs to be developed.
